This was the starting of a Fantasy Campaign. We started at 750 points and advanced from there.

Plague Priest with Flail and Warp Scroll on a Plague Furnace
2x20 Slaves
20 Plague Monks with full command (pushing Furnace)
7 Plague Censer Bearers
Plague Claw Catapult

This is a devastating arm at low points. The Plague Monks have extra hand weapons and are Unbreakable and Frenzied. The Plague Furnace has lots of nasty attacks, both ranged and hand to hand. The Plague Censer Bearers have a fog that forces all models touching to make a toughness roll or take a wound no save (even themselves, but they fail on 6s only). They are also Frenzied, Stubborn, and have Hatred. They get 3 attacks, they get a +2S the first turn for the Flails, and they re-roll misses with Hatred with their 3WS. They are also Skirmishers with a move of 5". I have beaten almost every unit I hit and run them down or overrun them.

The first Upgrade I did was to make it 2x8 for the Plague Censer Bearers. This put me at about 880 points.

I took a city (an objective) and now am at about 1120 points.

I added a Plague Priest with a Plague Censer to one of the Plague Censer Bearer units. I added 20 Plague Monks to my main unit.

The next upgrades I will do is add slings to the slaves a second Plague Priest in the other unit of Plague Censer Bearers. With the city I should have enough to make the Priest on the Furnace level 2 and give one of the Priests with the Plague Censer Bearers a Shadow Magnet Trinket. If I have any points left I can add one more Plague Censer Bearer to each unit.

The next turn will be a unit of 10 Poisoned Wind Globadiers with a Poisoned Wind Mortar. I might put the 2 Plague Priest on foot on Great Pox Rats. I might give my Plague Monks a magic banner of the Under Empire. I can take the army to 1500 points and stil be a full Clan Pestilens army. I can then hold the points until I get to 2000 and add Lord Skrolk. After that I will have to add mostly Clan Skryre stuff (Doom Wheel, Jezzails, Gutter Runners with Warp-Grinder).

Not much happens around the Fantasy stuff so I wandered away. John informed me someone had posted. I live in Grand Haven and mostly play in Muskegon at Grandiosity. I'm always up for a game, but plan on switching to 8th edition as soon as the rules hit on July. I've read through them many times. They are really good, but I have already found a few possible issues.

Oh and the campaign is pretty much over. 6 games 6 wins... all by a massacre or tabling. I made it up to 2145 points... and managed to keep up with the painting... 100% painted. They are running a tournament tomorrow then after the new rules hit they will likely start over with a new campaign of some sort. The book has cool missions and randomly generated maps, o I likely will spend the next month making scenery to match the charts... and I mean lots!

This is what I started with at 750 points:

This is what I ended with at 2145 points:

It was a meat grinder army... lots of damage and lots of deaths. The object was to kill them faster than you killed your own army. 3 of the games I actually killed more Skaven then the enemy.

Yeh but the fun of a Skaven army is the unpredictabilty of MOST of the army... and If you DO decide you fancy a game against me sometime, I'd be MORE than happy to give it a go.
