Starting to like the Eldar army...and while GKs have always been and will always be my favorite army. I want my own themed

Obviously heavily themed armies are not the most competitive...but I really love the look and feel of Scorpions and want to make an army focused on them...eventually fielding 30 in a game...

And I think I want to make this a heavily themed very ME army...

*cutting to the chase*

I want to make the army look Samurai themed...goes well with the Green of the Scorpions and I want to model my own Karandras to look something more like Raiden...or Shredder. Not opposed to "ninja" esque ideas either.

If you didn't get the Mortal Combat OR Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle reference...leave now.

A few pictures that show general shapes and styles that I am looking to incorporate...

for wraithguard eventually?

What I am looking for is general ideas to sculpt or paint such things.

Anything that makes the army a little cooler in terms of theme.

Simply google searching "samurai warhammer 40k" brings up more things than I can talk about

Going to need a lot of greenstuff...

Obviously, such a thing can be done primarily with just paint jobs and a few minor conversions. Everything he did there (beyond the freehand painting) doesn't look incredibly difficult. Some arm/weapons swaps, some added banners, and a bit of GS work on the legs.

Scorpions are going to be harder since they are not plastic like dire avengers and guardians. Their chainswords can be altered to katanas fairly easily. swapping the heads might be difficult, but they are all finecast now so a saw will probably lop them off. Then you can just replace with some kind of samurai head. Probably wouldn't be difficult to add banners to their backs either.
