Kinda having an issue on the ROF on range weapons. Rules state you can only fire once on initial attacks(or something along those lines) despite the ROF of the weapon. So do you have to use focus to use the other shots or do you just have to use one on your initial attack and then the others after that? :?:

You can buy extra attacks just like you would melee attacks up to the ROF. Unless for instance you have 2 ranged weapons like one of the Black 13th gun mages from Cygnar, Feora the caster from Protectorate, etc.

Think of it this way, you can always attack once with each weapon of a type, either melee or ranged. If you have 2 melee weapons, you get one attack with each for free, if you have 2 ranged weapons you can fire with each one once. Then if you have a ROF above 1 you can purchase more attacks.

So for instance my Decimator has a ROF 3. I get one shot for my initial and if I wanted to use the other 2 shots I have to spend 2 focus for them. 1 focus for 1 extra shot up to ROF.

Yup that is correct. The downside is that you could only boost 1 shot if you do end up firing the gun 3 times. Usually, you can't give a warjack more than 3 focus at a time.

That is what I was thinking. Only 3 boosts and 3 shots. However the Behemoth has a sub-cortex that you can add 3 additional points for a total of 6! But you can only use the sub-cortex for shooting.Still that's a LOT of boosts!

That and the Behemoth can make its bombardment shots in the same turn as it makes melee attacks. So you could buy 3 extra melee attacks then spend some focus to fire off some bombardment at something else I believe.

Lets see... The book says you get two damage boxes with an "S" for the sub-cortex. It is allocated up to 3 points in addition to normal points allocation.(6 total). Sub-Cotex points can only be used to boost range attack and range damage rolls. Primary Cortex points CANNOT be used to boost range attack/damage. If Sub-Cortex is crippled you CANNOT shoot. :( (Well that suxs) Cortex damage effects do NOT affect Sub-Cortex. Model can make melee and range attacks in same activation. Model can make range attacks even while in melee but NOT against a model engaging it.This model suffers -2 to range attack rolls while engaged and during activations it charges, slam power attacks,or tramples. It has Bombard Cannons, Open fists with Armor Piercing which halves the base ARM of of models hit that have medium or larger bases. Gains +2 to damage roll on small bases.
