I've heard that this game got played a while back in the barn but that it died out pretty quickly. I've got 2 decent sized armies, Khador and Mercs, and could swing some small battles if people wanted to learn or relearn the system.

Any interest?

I certainly would love to see a more diverse set of games being played at the Barn. Over the past 2 years however, the majority of people seem only interested in 40k (with a small dabbling in fantasy here and there).

I think the problem has always been that a few people get into it, play for awhile, and then get bored since no one else seems all that interested. I think the only way a new game system would really take off is if a majority of regular barn attendee's were willing to buy into the game and actively play it.

I am all for you trying to revive it, and I certainly do hope it will succeed. I just wanted to let you know of the issues we've had with it (and other game systems) in the past.

I have a Cryx starter set, partially painted, that I got in my swag bag from Adepticon this year. I think 9 of us went to Adepticon, so those who didn't sell it should all have a starter. I've only played WM a few times, but I'm probably more interested in playing it than 40k these days. Recently, I've been in Kalamazoo playing Firestorm: Armada on Fridays more often than not, but I still make it to The Barn occasionally.

I'm bringing my khador and mercs tonight along with the Salamanders. Anyone who wants a game is welcome to use one of them.

If you guys are still playing Warmachine/Hordes after AdeptiCon (April) I may have to jump back into the game. We tried to bring it into the Barn last summer but not enough people picked it up and it died far too quickly. Keep it up guys, the Barn needs another regular game system.

We'll do our best.

In the time between now and then I'd be happy to help anyone who got a starter pack from last year's Adepticon and was interested in learning the system and playing some low point games. Heck, I'll even assemble the things.

So...taking into account how profitable my Christmas was I'll be getting back into Hordes much sooner than I had originally intended. I've just ordered some Legion of Everblight models and if they arrive in time for me to assemble them I'll have them with me this Friday.

Either way I'm interested in getting in a practice game or two this week.
