500 point Wolf list ( winter league)

So I tried to come up with a list that would allow me to deal with other armies effectively at a 500 point level.

Rune Priest with Chooser of the Slain -110

10 grey hunters with Mark of Wolfen, Flamer,Melta-165

5 Grey hunters Mark of wolfen, Plasma Gun-100

5 long fangs all 5 with missiles-125

500/500

I like the the idea that I have a solid bock of grey hunters with a rune priest with a smaller one acting as fire support. I figure that the 5 long fangs with missiles should be more then enough to destroy any armour.

I'd fight that.
One question (I don't have the codex handy), can you have 5 ML in a long fang squad? i thought one had to be the pack leader...
One suggestion, maybe even out the grey hunters squads. i know you would lose the free melta, but oh well...
just a thought.

If you can try and make it to alpha & omega this sat. and we can test it out.

It says for composition
1-5 long fangs
1 squad leader

To be honest I dont know if that means I need him. If not then I have a free 10 points to float over to a wolf standard for my bigger block.

I plan on being there this week.

The unit is legal. You can have 5 long fangs and the squad leader. So you can have 5 missile launchers.

The list looks good. It's almost exactly what I plan on running for my 500 point list as well.

The Long Fang squad leader is required. So, if you're only taking a unit of 5 you can only have 4 missile launchers in the squad.

Ok thank you for that information. That means I have 10 points now that will be given as a wolf standard to the 10 man grey hunter squad.

A thought I had is that I could replace the long fangs with a dread with heavy flamer upgrade for the same points.

I would keep the long fangs. Although it would be nice to see something else on the field than 2GH and 1LF.

Looking at you James and Brian...

either way I think you should field what you want to paint and save the list-tweaking for later

We're kind of forced to take 2 GH squads. That whole 2 troops required thing ya know

MY issue is I only have 3 missile long fangs. I would have to proxy the other one if I cant find another missile :\

Well you've got 3 weeks to find one and paint it. No one will care about proxy for the next couple weeks.
