Hello, Captain General here, new to your group. I have been working on a modified 40K rules mods which incorporate D10's instead of the D6's associated with 40K. Is anyone out there interested in helping me with some input as I am new to 40K , but have been gaming a long time. I am only interested in the mods form own entertainment and not to changed anything you guys do. I've been gaing a long time, have written many of my own sets of rules for historicals - I have about 10,000 15mm figs in my collection - and have certain view of what I like to play, though I haveno quams about playing straight 40K. So, you are well veresed in 40K and would be s kind as to give me input, I would be thankful. Thank-you for your time.

Captain General (Stephen)

From a personal standpoint I am not generally interested in modified rule-sets. Warhammer 40k has enough rules to keep track of, especially when you factor in all of the different codices and relevant FAQ's. I tend to come at the game from more of a competitive standpoint. As such I don't like to have extraneous rules bouncing around in my head that could potentially confuse me in a tournament setting. I can certainly pare my game down for casual and fluffy games, but I like to at least keep the rules consistent in all games. That said, not everyone at the barn is of the competitive mindset, but also not everyone is very vocal on the forums. It may benefit you to ask around in person if you happen to make it out to the barn sometime.

Most people don't like to fiddle with rules, but I am not one of them. I'm always looking to "improve" them to my own liking. As I wrote, these are for me and me alone. As I am not versed in the peoples/equipment of the 40K world, I am looking for outside insight to help me with my personal mods. Thanks for the info. Hope to see you at the barn some day.
