Wondering of anyone was going to try and start a Fantasy army anytime soon...wondering what you might play as well.

I was looking at Wood Elves.

I know there has been talk of Fantasy for the summer. I think Jeremy and Jeff mentioned a desire to play a fantasy-style game. Whether that still holds true, I honestly don't know.

Hey John was not able to convince me to take the long drive to play with you guys for 40k... but maybe for Fantasy. I have Skaven, High Elves, Bretonnian, and Lizardmen... plus Eldar and Orks for 40k, but that is not important.

I have just started a Skaven force myself. While I do have a guard army for 40k, I would really love to find some people interested in Fantasy. After I get this force assembled, if I've got a free Friday night I'll consider heading out that way.

You should. After adepticon, alot of the Barn people want to get into fantasy. So a good time to start would be in a month or so.

I would post something on here earlier in the week, because thus far no one is bringing their fantasy army to the Barn weekly.

Grandiosity up in Muskegon is playing Fantasy. Our old group that runs out of Coopersville kind of merged with the group at Grandiosity for a Fantasy Campaign they are running.

My passion is Skaven, but I also have Lizardmen, High Elves, and Bretonnia. I could probably field a full 10,000 point Skaven army. I live in Grand Haven. My brother John plays SM and his son Joshua plays Space Wolfs. They live in GR. I've been playing Skaven since 1993 but took almost 10 years off because of my Ex and came back just in time for the new Skaven army book. I have Eldar and Orks for 40k too, but Fantasy is my proffered game.

It is about an hour drive, I have 3 kids at home ages 8, 10, and 12, and you guys play way too late for me... especially with the drive. Saturday or Sunday is much better and afternoon is even better. I live on the North end of Grand Haven. We have a group in Coopersville and there is a new store up in Muskegon called Grandiosity that just started running a Fantasy campaign. We merged our groups basically as we had 10 Fantasy Players and they had about 6 from their 40k guys that played Fantasy, plus about 4-6 new players from the area joined in. They only play every other Sunday though and the campaign rules are pretty sketchy at best. It is fun though. They have a mix of experienced and new players and levels in between. I made a VERY aggressive Skaven Clan Pestilens army and it is kicking pretty much everybody around. My last battle against an experience Empire player was the closest at 1300 to 400. There is one player with Lizardmen doing about the same that I will likely be playing against soon. If I walk all over him I will tone down my army a bit and make a mixed clan army just for fun and drop control of the cities I took. I told the guy to NOT play me against beginners right now and what I was planning and he thought both ideas were good.

I have been playing Skaven for 17+ years, but pretty much dropped out of the scene for almost 10 years do to my Ex and kids. I'm back now, just in time for the new Skaven army book and the latest rule book and beefed up my army with some of the new models. They did a pretty good job on it and the new models are great. They are missing a lot of new models though, so I have been making a bunch of custom models to fill out the rest of my army. I can pretty much field a legal 10,000 point army. I have a lot to paint and keep making or buying more, so...

I did get into 40k a bit back in the day, but I did not care for it much. When I came back though the group in Coopersville played only 40k, so I dusted off my Eldar and got kicked around. I traded models from AoBR with John, so I got into Orks. These were much better. I learned the army and the rules much better in just a few months. John always wants to learn more, but I asked if he wanted to play against Orks or Eldar. He picked Eldar and I have been ripping him apart with those too. I just did not understand the rules or the Eldar very well. Now I do. I still do not have enough experience to take on the really good players, but I consider myself strong mid-level player in 40k. I have Fantasy on my brain right now though.

Hey I was wondering where this place is. I've been playing Warhammer for around 12 years, but I've only just got back into it after 4 1/2 years break. I'd love to get together for some Games with my Warriors of Chaos army. anything from a single 500pt to 2,250pt game (I also have a friend who is just starting to learn the game too he's started playing as Dwarves)

Joshua got Battle for Skull Pass for his birthday and we have been beefing up his Orcs and Goblins, so that might work for us, too.

Lol I just got that a month back for two of my friends just so I could play some games... (Yes I was THAT desperate to start playing Warhammer again... But I know that they both really got into it. They are both still very green but I can safely say that Slaanesh is slowly writhing tentacles of titilation around them, both and I know they will be addicts VERY soon... Especially my friend Scott (who I will be dragging along with me for the first visit)

Oh and yes. I only play fantasy at the moment (short on funds). but it is a 2250pt force (with everything maxed) and I'm slowly expanding it...

I am new to GW and decided to be dwarfs. So today I got my hands on a never opened box of skull pass to start me off and called of a local hobby shop asking about groups and was directed to this website. Do you guys play fantasy? I kind of get the feeling that its so so
