If you haven't been following Adepticon news, information about next years events are starting to trickle out. One of the events will be a Kill Team event. What is Kill Team? Basically, it's a squad of individual models, each with their own stats/wargear/weapons/etc... Say a terminator, a scout with a shotgun, a tac seargant with a plasma pistol, and so on. The rules for this event will use a homebrew system that is very similar to the old 4th edition Kill Team rules, rather than the rules out of Battle Missions (which to be honest, are pretty bland and boring).

You can check out these playtest rules here:
http://www.box.net/shared/lcp2ohq6he

For the moment, I'm looking to get a general interest in who would be interested in such a league. I figure games would be about 2 times a month, and I would try to come up with some type of arching story to the whole thing, rather than just a simple my kill-team vs yours. A sort of branching campaign where your success/failure in one mission will affect the following ones, and so on.

It's awesome...I might be stealing your inquisitor idea...I have the models and it's cool...it is going to take a bit to learn this.

Looks like they are updating the rules after some playtesting. The new rules should be available on Tuesday. I'll put up a link as soon as I see them.

I am rather amazed at how much thought was put into all the rules and errata and scenarios.

Was tempted to take the callidus because they made her even more awesome...but then I realized that's half my force.

If there is anything you need to borrow just let me know. I have damn near anything you would need/want.

Here's what I'm thinking for my list:

Warlock 25
Destructor 10

DA Exarch 24
2x Shur Cat 5
Bladestorm 15

Dire Avenger 12
Dire Avenger 12
Dire Avenger 12

Howling Banshee 16
Howling Banshee 16

Shadowseer 48
Kiss 4
Harlequin 18
Kiss 4
Harlequin 18
Kiss 4

Total 243

Eric, do you have Harlequins? I think I sold all of mine. What about the Banshees? The ones I have are the old edition models, and they are missing the arms which means they are just hunks of metal to me now.

No I don't have any harlequins yet. Sorry. I have everything else though.

So correct me if I am wrong. From what I can tell "unique" characters are not allowed. Did I read that right? If so I am disappointed. I think Harker and Marbette would have a fun time on the kill team field.

Nope you're correct. No models listed as 'Unique' are allowed.

Lame. I can understand why this is done, but it is still lame.

I'm not too concerned about that thing. However you do have a good point on that. How much does the DoM cost?

80...so its expensive for KT...but if you spent the points it could wreck things.

Also apparently there are no reserves in the game whatsoever. I asked on the rules designer's forums, and they said that unless the mission specifically allows it, all models start on the table at the beginning of the game.
