The Battle Barn

Just like the title says, do you like it? Let's be honest, who refers to our club by that name anymore? Did you ever refer to our club by that? I've been throwing around the idea of officially changing our name, and I'd be surprised honestly if there was someone who didn't like the idea. Let me know though if you think it's a bad one, and that you want the name to change.

What to change it too? Well while many like just 'The Barn', I personally would like it to refer to gaming in some way. Something simple like 'The Game Barn' or 'The Gamer's Barn', 'The Gaming Barn', etc... You get my drift.

I am not really a big fan of calling our club and community a variation of 'The Barn'. I am not opposed to changing the Forum name or having a new official club name. I just think that 'The Barn' should simply be left as an affectation for the place we as a club get together to play games, but not the name of our club. Segmentum Michigandus is ok, and to be honest I don't have anything better, however if someone out there does have a better club name I could be all for change.

As far as coming up with a more official name for the barn itself may I humbly submit the name 'The Battle Barn".

Yeah, I've never been a fan of the name "Segmentum Michigandus" and I'm all for changing it to something else. Personally, I'm good with calling it "The Barn" but if someone has a better suggestion just post it.

"The Barn" is a bit bland...but its something to build off of...

I kind of like 'The Battle Barn'. We can still call it the Barn locally, it's easier to say than Segmentum Michigandus, plus designing tshirts based on it wouldn't be too difficult.

Isn't The Battle Barn the big GW store next to Adepticon in Chicago? Maybe that's battle bunker.

I think of the place as The Barn, but I have no problem with the forum being named something more formal. Actually, I liked the Segmentum Barnicus that was suggested early on, but I don't think the current name is broken enough to need fixing.

I'll agree with calling it "The Barn" in our little group of gamers. But the website should be something more.

Im good with calling it the Barn. Why add in extra words? It gets the point across. "Where am I going? To the barn. What for? Come along and find out." Most everyone that knows of it, knows it as 'the Barn'. To add in one or two adjectives would take away from its simplicity. I never did like the 'S.M' label. It made us come off as dweeby nerds, where as 'the Barn' makes us sound like BAD-ASS MOTHER-F'in GAMERS!!! See the difference there? What will the public think?
