The Battle Barn

Started painting up my Deathjack this weekend. I only have his carapace done so far. It is a separate piece from the rest of the model and wanted to play around with the colors a bit before I committed to painting the whole model. Here's how he looks so far.

I decided that the color was too light, so here's the second attempt. I think this one looks a little better.

Needs more cowbell.

Yes...I just traded my airbrushes for a 50 point Cryx army. They were the faction that got me into the game in the first place, and the first army I had about 2 years ago.

Cool. I picked up Gorshade the Bastard(?) Would of got a Harrower and some Bane Thralls and a few death chickens but didn't have the cash. What colors are you using on the Hell Jack?

That is Cryx Bane Base for the armor plate, and a base coat of Dwarven Bronze with some drybrushing of shining gold and washed with black on the trim.

So you are using the P3 paints? Are they worth it?

They're pretty good, more importantly, there are colors that aren't readily available in either Citadel or Vallejo colors.
