How can they do this? I keep hearing people talk about this, but I didn't see what rule gave them this ability in the Blood Angels codex. Maybe i'm overlooking it? Page number reference please so I can read for myself.

Ugh, yup right in front of my face. Well that answers that question.

Now let's throw another one on there. If a unit with the Descent of Angels special rule is inside a land raider when it deepstrikes, does it reroll the failed reserve roll and only scatter the d6? What's everyone's thoughts?

No effin' way! Since the Land Raider is the unit performing the actual deep strike it would scatter 2d6 as normal.

Blood Angels are rigged. That's all I'm saying.

Impossible situation. Jump packs give a unit Decent of Angels. Jump packs also make the unit Jump infantry, and jump infantry cannot embark on a transport. Ref. pg 66 of the main rule book, under Transport Capacity. "Only infantry models may embark in transports (it is worth specifying that this does not include jump infantry), unless a Codex book states otherwise. I believe it states otherwise for Stormravens, but not for a land raider.

SO, if a unit with Decent of Angels is embarked on a Storm Raven that is DS, does it get the reroll and the reduced scatter? No, the vehicle is doing the deepstriking not the unit. You want the reroll and the reduced scatter, do it outside of a vehicle.

I didn't realize only jump pack guys had the rule. Guess that makes this situation not possible. That's certainly good to hear.
