Greetings all! Just wanted to put an announcement up about our upcoming tournament that your's truly will be running next month. We had a great success at our last tournament, and the masses have expressed their desire for a team tournament format.

Registration will start at 10am, with first round beginning at 11am. The cost will be $25 for the whole team, and will include pizza for lunch. Prize support will be dependent on how many teams attend, but will once again be awarded in the form of The Warstore gift certificates. This seemed to go over very well with attendee's last time and so I shall continue with it once more.

I'll post the official rules either later today or tomorrow, but they will be very heavily influenced by the Adepticon Team Tournament rules. I'll be using the new updated rules for the 2011 event, so take a look at those for an idea of what is/isn't allowed.

Please pre-register! I have space for 12 teams, and I can not guarantee a spot unless you pre-register. To register or questions, please contact me one of the following ways:
PM here on the boards
Email me at: bhuttenga (at) gmail (dot) com
PM me for my cell number and you can call/txt me

Something like they Grey Knight Land Raider Redeemer would be fine?

You must have either the physical hard copy book in which the rules are contained, or a readable printout of the exact rules. Army Builder description's won't cut it. If that's available, then yes that would cause no problems.

OK, I have recruited a teammate. Mike W and Mark M will be a team, likely playing an alliance of Chaos Marines and Chaos Daemons.

I'm using the Adepticon 2011 Team Tournaement Draft rules exclusively now. They can be found here:

http://www.adepticon.org/11rules/201140 ... sDraft.pdf

They differ slightly from what I posted before, so please take a look at them and let me know if you have any questions.

The only change I see is that Coalitions now have unlimited Special Characters as long as you don't break the rules for unique.

Are you planning to worry about the whole team theme scoring thing? It seems excessive for a local tournament, but it would definitely keep things interesting.

Ignore anything having to do with theme/paint scoring/command counters/etc... Basically you're just looking at how to construct your armies. I'll be scoring by straight battle points for the event.

Another tournament in Grand Rapids completed, another group of happy gamers. 8 teams showed up to the event, for a total of 16 players duking it out during the course of the day. The top two teams going into the final round actually drew against one another, allowing the 3rd place team to just barely slide ahead and win 1st place by 1 point! Quite the upset to be had!

Since my laptops batter decided to die right before I announced the winners, I've told everyone that they would be posted here for perusal. The winners should be receiving emails shortly that details how to obtain their prizes. Big thanks to the guys from Lansing and Kalamazoo for coming out! It's always great to see some new faces at the event. Hopefully we can draw out some more newcomers at the next one!

1. Austin & Dave Each wins a $40 Warstore gift certificate
2. Gibbs & Bryan Each wins a $30 Warstore gift certificate
3. Mike & Jeff Each wins a $20 Warstore gift certificate
4. Josh & Brett
5. Mike & Mark
6. Jesse & John
7. Eric & Nate
8. Murry & Christian

Can we put together a "who was who" list? I didn't get a good look at all that many of the armies.

Austin & Dave:
Gibbs & Bryan: razorbacks, I think?
Mike & Jeff: Space Wolf Terminators with Logan & IG tanks.
Josh & Brett:
Mike & Mark: Chaos Marines with Kharn & Tzeentch Daemons
Jesse & John:
Eric & Nate: Blood Angels with Azrael and Mephiston
Murry & Christian: Chaos Marines and Ultramarines

That's a start. Can somebody help fill in the blanks?

Anyway, three very fun games all around. Lots of things blowing up, and just enough weird die rolls for everybody to have something to complain about!

Congratulations to Austin and Dave on pulling the upset. Much appreciation goes to Brian for putting on AND running the tournament. Great work.

Seconded.

And thanks to the management of the club for letting us play there. And in some cases, selling us beer!
