The next tournament is on the books and ready to be run!

I am running the Youngbloods tournament down at Adepticon this year, and I want to test out the missions ahead of time to make sure they are easy to follow and no problems occur because of them.

I will be using the following rules for the tournament:

http://www.adepticon.org/11rules/201140Kyoung.pdf

The changes for this tournament are as follows:
All entrants MAY be over the age of 16.
Painted armies are not required.

Missions will be scored by straight battle points, with prizes for 1st and 2nd place, as well as an award for Best Painted (prizes may change based on amount of people)

Entrance fee is $10, and will not include a lunch.
Registration begins at 10:00am, with first game starting at 11:00am. Rounds will be 1 1/2 - 2 hours. This means we should be done by about 6:30-7:00pm at the latest.

Please pre-register by replying to this thread with your full name, sending me a PM, or emailing me at bhuttenga (at) gmail (dot) com.
I can not guarantee spots for people that show up the day of.

Please contact me if you have any other questions at all.

Sign me up(Ben Conde), and I might have another player (Jordan Conde) if he can learn the game in time. I'll keep you posted on this thread wether he will be joining or not. I want to use my Dark Eldar army with the old second edition codex since the new codex just out has differnt rules, models, and weapons that my old models do not have. Will this be ok? If not I'll bring my Space Marines instead let me know.

Thanks,
Ben

You would have to use the new codex for the Dark Eldar. It'll be the most recent, as well as having been out for a month already. I may be using it myself, and it would cause issue if one player was using new rules, why the other used a different set of rules.

Ok, thanks for letting me know about the Dark Eldar codex. You can sign Jordan Conde up for the tournament, we both will be joining the gaming on the 11th. Can we have special characters in our army list?

@Chad: Well it's a perfect excuse to do something fun on your birthday then! We haven't seen you in forever so come on out and get some games in.

So far we've got about 8 people who have officially signed up (contacted me on the forums/email in some way). I think we can handle 7-8 tables without too much difficulty, so we've still got room for another 6 people or so. Spread the word. This will be a simple, quick tournament with very basic missions (considering it's designed for kids 16 and younger)

No promises on when I can make it out there. Things are crazy around here. Mom's cancer was worse then they thought so she is going through chemo. She just started her second treatment. Anyone still playing Warmachine or should I dust off my CSM? LOL!!

Yea Warmachine died a quick death here sadly. Even Jeremy doesn't show up anymore to play it. Bust out the marines for some fun. Some new blood out here that I think is about your skill level.

I'm not surprised warmachine died as quickly as it did. Only, what 5 of you played it when the barn was full? And even then only two ever played at a time. Doesn't help people just kind of stopped showing up...

Jeramy said he is working a lot up north and doesn't have time to play on Fridays now. He's been at White Caps last I knew.

Last week's tournament in Kalamazoo didn't go all that well for me, so my little green men and I are feeling the need to redeem ourselves. As I somehow did not get burned out on 40k by playing all day Saturday, I am up for trying it again. If all slots are full, no big deal, but if there's one open I'll take it.

Slot's still open. I'll add your name to the list. If any of the Kzoo guys want to come up I can accomodate that.
