I've got a problem. It seems I am probably out of a ride tomorrow. If anyone is willing to provide me with transport I'd be happy to pay your entrance fee for giving me a lift. I live in Kentwood by 52nd and Kalamazoo if there are any volunteers. Specific address will be provided through the PM system. Should my ride magically become available I will inform you via PM.

Arander, if no ride exists I (obviously) won't be at the tourney and thus my slot will be available.

Yes this should be posted elsewhere, but I figured it might as well be posted here where someone might actually read it.

...and a good time was had by all. At least all who were healthy enough to attend. I particularly enjoyed everyone giving Brian such a hard time about the "destorying" the enemy and the "Machine Sprit"!

More seriously, I think the plan for the Youngbloods event is off to a good start. The backstory with the three missions building on each other is an excellent idea, and with some clean-up and clarification I think it will work well. I was worried at first that it would make too much depend on what how well you did in the first mission, but that wasn't the case. And having a servitor or two as extra units in your army is nice boost to the firepower without being unbalancing. Other than a bit of polish, the only suggestion I have is to not use Dawn of War deployment in any of the missions. I have seen quite a few adult players confuse the difference between "walk on first turn" and "in reserve", and I think asking kids to get that right will would cause problems.

There were lots of new faces at the event, and I had no idea there were so many youngbloods in the area. I told a few of them about the regular Friday night event, so maybe we'll see some of them again.

Despite some issues I had with proofreading the missions I wrote and changing some things between games, the event went quite well. A nice turnout once again, with a few actual Youngbloods showing up to get some games in. Even despite 3 people dropping last minute, we still had 13 people show up. Here are the results

Name..........Battlepoints
Eric..........43 (Blood Angels)
Brett..........33 (Space Wolves)
Dale..........33 (Imperial Guard)
Jeff W..........31 (Orks)
Eric G..........29 (Blood Angels)
Josh H..........27 (Blood Angels)
Mike W..........23 (Tau)
Jordan C..........17 (Necrons)
Jim..........16 (?)
Teddy.........11 (Standard Marines) (Best Painted)
Ben C..........11 (Standard Marines)
Nathan..........10 (Tyranids)
Nate..........5 (Blood Angels)

Warstore gift certificates were awarded to the winners. $60 for first, $40 for second, and $40 for player's choice Best Painted
